Here is Grenade in a western saddle I've borrowed from some friends and might buy. This was the last time I rode her - before her belly got too big! I don't think I'll be riding her again until she foals in mid January 2006. It's already pretty hard to pick up her feet 'cause her puku sticks out so far!
Currently we have six horses on my family's farm. Three belong to my younger sisters, and three to me. My three mares are named 'Grenade', 'Pipistral' and 'Honey'. Grenade is an Arab-cross mare (14.3 hands) who I have owned for about 10 years. She is currently in foal to a little Welsh Mountain Pony stallion. Pipistral is a black mare (about 14 hands), half Quarter Horse and half English Riding Pony. She is also in foal (we think!). Honey is Pip's eldest daughter. She is a chestnut Quarter Horse filly (about 14.1 hands), about a year and a half old.
Leith: This one doesn't really show Grenade at her best! But I have great memories of the ride that followed, and the picture reminds me, and it's my blog . . . (10/06/05)
